When I first saw cheese scones, I was sceptical because of their simplicity and use of powdered mash but decided to give them a go as they look great. I added some finely chopped chilli and they are syn free. You can still taste the powdered mash a little but they are a great accompaniment to go with a nice soup.

  1. Gather all the ingredients together & pre-heat the oven to Gas mark 5
  2. Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix thoroughly
  3. Form into 12 golfball sized balls & place on a baking tray & spray with a little frylite
  4. Bake for around 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot or cold
