Chicken Tikka

For the Curry

  • 4 Chicken Fillets Cut into 3cm chunks
  • 1 large Onion Finely chopped
  • 2 Peppers Any colour, de-seeded and sliced
  • 2 Garlic cloves finely sliced or grated
  • 1 tbsp Garam Masala
  • 500 g Passata
  • 10 g Fresh coriander leaves (Optional)

For the marinade

  • 200 g Fat Free Natural Greek Yoghurt
  • 2 tsp Sweet Paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 2 tsp Ground Tumeric
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 tsp Garlic Granules
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder use less if you don't like it spicy
  • ½ juice Lemon


  • Gather all your ingredients together
  • Mix all the marinade ingretients in a bowl with a little salt then add the chicken chunks, cover and marinade in the fridge for 2-4 hours or overnight.
  • Spray a large frying pan with low-calorie spray and add the peppers, garlic and onions and fry until soft.
    Add the garam masala and a little water and fry, stirring for another minute
  • Add the passata, 75ml of water and all the chicken and marinade mixture.
    Reduce the heat and cook slowly for another 5-10 minutes until all the ckicken is cooked through thoroughly.
  • Serve with boiled rice and garnish with the fresh coriander leaves
