I got this idea from a recipe in a “Hello Fresh” box and really enjoyed them so here’s my version.

They are lower in carbs than potatoes so a great choice for an occasional treat

Celeriac chips

Very easy to make & tasty too
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Total Time 40 minutes
Servings 2 People

Ingredients

  • 1 Celeriac
  • tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  • Take one celeriac root or as many as you need for enough chips and some olive oil. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees C
  • Peel the celeriac, I find it much easier to use a knife to chop the skin off, especially the "rooty" base
  • Cut into the size of chips you would like. Thick ones need longer cooking so make them all similar in thickness
  • Splash the oil on the chips and shake so they are all covered then tip onto a baking tray
  • Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes until starting to brown
